Lebanese Slow Cooked Green Beans

Time 35 minutes
Ingredients
200g green beans, whole but tails removed
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 brown onion, diced
6 garlic cloves, minced + 4 whole garlic cloves
2 tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp cayenne pepper
1 tbsp tomato concentrate
2 cans diced tomatoes
Salt and pepper
Flat bread or rice, to serve
Method
In a pan warm the olive oil and add onion, ensure translucent.
Then add paprika, cayenne pepper and garlic and fry off for 2 minutes.
Add all the green beans and ensure beans are well coated in the spices.
Add diced tomatoes and tomato concentrate and allow the dish to gently simmer for 30 minutes, season as desired.
Serve with flat bread or rice on the side or as a side dish.
